"There is a wisdom of the head, and a wisdom of the heart." - Charles Dickens

The wisdom of our head told us that thousands of lives were affected and torn apart by Hurricane Katrina; the wisdom of our heart told us children with cancer still need our help! Honestly, the 2005
Blesssings In Adversity
campaign did not turn out as we had hoped; however, we are sill on course to give one day's operating expenses of $1 million to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. It is going to take a us longer than originally anticipated; however, we are still 100 percent committed to our goal as e strongy believe in the St. Jude mission of "Finding cures. Saving children."

We'd like to acknowledge and thank Rob and Cara Pettit and Mike and Christy Rudolph for allowing us to share the lives of their beautiful children Maya and Nick to whom the campaign was dedicated. Even though St. Jude was unable to save their lives, they will be forever grateful and appreciative for the care and treatment their children received at the hospital. And they will always remember the love and support shown to them upon their children's passing.

Although our campaign results were lower than we wished for, in no way does this diminsh our commitment to St. Jude. As we continue striving towards our long-term and ongoing fundraising objectives and building the Kahuna Charitable Foundatin, we will continue to showcase Maya, Nick, Frankie , and other St. Jude patients. It is through the lives of St. Jude patients and families that we have hope for tomorrow and the promise of a cure.

Please continue to watch for St. Jude and other fundraising updates on the Kahuna Charitable Foundation webiste www.kahunacharitabl.org

Blessings to you!
Jamie

As the aftermath accounts of Hurricane Katrina turn to stories of hope and promise, survivors are finding “blessings in adversity” as they rise to become victors instead of victims. Out of profound respect for this sensitive situation, we have waited to promote our 2005 Blessings In Adversity campaign nationally until this week. As the focus of the storm begins to shift towards hope and optimism, we are now gearing up for national media interviews that will take us through the end of September in order to help the children with cancer who still need our help!

Our goal is to raise money and awareness for the work St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is doing as a pioneering pediatric treatment and research facility that cares for children with catastrophic diseases around the world. The revolutionary discoveries made there have completely changed how the world treats children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases.

Thanks to the generosity of our campaign partners, we have more than $10,000 worth of goods and services all available F.REE with an online donation of any amount to help us as we help St. Jude in their mission of: “ Finding cures. Saving children.”

Even if you decide not to donate, please be sure to claim your complimentary e-book just for visiting the site: http://www.blessingsinadversity.com/ebook.asp
This book is yours at no cost or obligation and is available to share with others. This valuable information is so timely and important right now.

Please take a minute to visit www.blessingsinadversity.com to not only help fight childhood cancer, but to also take advantage of a tremendous but limited-time offer.

If you have already donated, we sincerely thank you and ask for your assistance to spread the word.
